Customs Rules
Import regulations::
Free import (exemption allowed once in each calendar year) for passengers over 18 years of age:
- Medicines for personal use only;
- 400 cigarettes or 50 cigars;
- 3 liters of alcohol beverages;
- other goods for personal consumption or gifts with a total value not exceeding USD 300.-;
- passengers may import a maximum of 2 kg. of food.

Additional Information on regulations:
Import of sausages, salami, ham and cheese is allowed if holding original sanitary certificate issued by the manufacturer. Import of raw ham from Italy and Portugal is prohibited.

Export regulations::
Export of cultural or artistic articles is not allowed.

Crew members customs regulations:
Only personal belongings are allowed.

Pets:
Cats and dogs must be accompanied by a veterinarian good health certificate certified by official authorities or zoo-sanitary certificate issued by official authorities and rabies vaccination certificate, issued at the point of origin. Pets may enter as passenger's baggage, in the cabin (cats and dogs only), or as cargo:

due to the outbreak of Mad Cow Disease, passengers carrying catlike animals and domestic cats are required to fill a legal form on arrival, declaring that the animal has not been fed with bovine meat, if arriving from: Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Rep., Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland (Rep. of), Israel, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom (incl. Channel Isl., Isl. of Man and Northern Ireland) or the U.S.A.

Baggage Clearance regulations::
Baggage is cleared at the first airport of entry in Peru. Luggage of crew will have a special queue and will be opened.
Airport Embarkation Tax
Airport Tax is levied on passengers embarking on:
1. International flights: USD 30.25,- or equivalent in local currency, to be paid only in cash.
2. Domestic flights: USD 6.15.- or equivalent in local currency.
Place of payment: "Banco Interbank" office at airport of departure.
Exempt:
1. Transit passengers continuing their journey within 24 hours to a third country.
2. Crew travelling on duty.
3. Infants under 2 years of age.

Local currency (Peruvian Nuevo Sol-PEN) and foreign currencies: no restrictions. However, amounts exceeding USD 10,000.- (or equivalent) must be declared.
