Jorge Chavez International Airport , known as Aeropuerto Internacional Jorge Chavez in Spanish, is Peru's main international and domestic airport. It is located in Callao, 10 km (6 miles) from Downtown Lima. Callao is the port city now fully integrated with Lima, the nation's capital. In 2007, the airport handled 7,507,811 passengers and 92,878 aircraft movements.

For many years it was the hub for now defunct Aeroperu and Faucett, one of the oldest airlines in Latin America. Now it serves as a hub for many aviation companies.

The airport is named after the pioneer Peruvian aviator Jorge Chavez Dartnell and was inaugurated in 1960 to replace the old Limatambo airport located in San Isidro which was surrounded by new residential areas. It was privatized in 2001 and is now managed by Lima Airport Partners (LAP), owned by Fraport AG Frankfurt Airport Services Worldwide.
