Day 1: Arrival Lima
Assistance on your arrival in Lima and transfer to your
selected hotel El Pukara. Free time to rest and prepare for
starting your trip around this unusual city and magical
country
Day 2: Lima – City Tour (B)
In the morning, city tour of the "City of Kings", including
the Lima’s Historical Center, visiting Main Square,
Government Palace, City Hall, the Cathedral (Here is the
tomb of Francisco Pizarro, conqueror of Peru), Museum of the
Cathedral, Temple of San Francisco Convent, Lima Colonial
Balconies, Torre Tagle Palace, Paseo de Aguas and Convent de
los Descalzos. Then, drive through the residential district
of San Isidro, visiting El Olivar Park; Miraflores, visiting
the Kennedy Park, Love Park and Larcomar Mall. Free for
lunch in the afternoon transport by bus from Lima to Paracas
Peninsula, where we can find the most important wildlife
sanctuary on the Peruvian Coast. Arrival in Pisco and
transfer to the Hotel Tambo Colorado.
Day 3: Lima – Cusco – City Tour and Nearby Ruins. (B)
Early in the morning, transfer to airport to take a flight
to Cusco.
Assistance on arrival in Cusco and transfer to your selected
hotel. Free time to take a short rest to be acclimatized to
the altitude.
In the afternoon, city tour of Cusco visiting the Main
Square and the Temple of the Sun or Korikancha. Then, drive
out of the city to visit the Inca sites of Kenko,
Tambomachay, Puca Pucara and the impressive fortress of
Sacsayhuaman, built strategically on a hill overlooking
Cusco; famous for its enormous carved stones joined with
astounding precision to form the outer walls. Some of these
stones stand over 9m / 30ft tall and weight over 350 tons.
Day 4: Cusco – Machupicchu. (B) (L)
Early in the morning, transfer to Cusco train station for a
three hours train ride to the famous Inca Citadel of Machu
Picchu, one of the most renowned examples of Inca
architecture, known as "The Lost City of the Incas". Get
down the train in Aguas Calientes station for a 30-minutes
drive climbing a 6km of winding road to reach the marvelous
citadel. Upon arrival, guided tour of the Citadel, visiting
the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun Dial(the
greatest Intiwatana), the Royal Quarters, the Temple of
Three Windows and various burial grounds. Time free to
stroll by the archeological site. Lunch at a restaurant at
Aguas Calientes town. Late afternoon return to Cusco.
Overnight .
Day 5: Cusco – Sacred Valley of the Incas. (B) (L)
Excursion to the "Sacred Valley of the Incas", a succession
of picturesque towns, agricultural terraces and
archaeological sites. On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays,
we´ll have the opportunity to bargain with vendors or stroll
at the Pisac's typical Indian market, with a catholic mass
service on Sunday (celebrated in Quechua, the native
language).
Lunch at a local restaurant in the Sacred Valley.
In the afternoon pass through Calca and Urubamba towns to
arrive to the Inca Fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo,
which was built to guard the entry of this part of the
valley and protect it from enemies of the lower jungles;
consisting in a series of superimposed terraces of carved
stones accessed by long staircases. We will have the
opportunity to walk through the quaint streets of the nearby
town, religious and agricultural centre during the Inca
Empire, and get a clear idea of the military strategy
against possible invasions.
On our way back to Cusco we will visit the picturesque
Andean village of Chinchero where the remains of what was
the royal hacienda of Tupac Inca Yupanqui lies. Admire its
well preserved Inca Wall at the Main Square, visit the
beautiful colonial temple built on Inca foundations, with
interesting frescoes on the portico.
Back to Cusco in the afternoon.
Day 6: Cusco – Lima – Huaraz. (B)
Early in the morning, transfer to airport to take a flight
to Lima. Arrival reception y transfer to bus station
departure to Huaraz along the way view small villages and
highs mountains driver for 8 hrs. Arrival in the bus sation
reception and transfer to hotel America. Overnight.
Day 7: Llanganuco – Callejon de Huaylas Valley (B)
Full day excursion visiting the Callejón de Huaylas valley
between Cordillera Blanca and Cordillera Negra and the
meander Santa River. We will begin with a route by the
freeway Huaraz - Caraz. We will visit towns of singular
beauty like Carhuaz, Mancos, Ranrahirca and Yungay. Soon we
will turn aside 27 km penetrating theCordillera Blanca White
Mountain Range to arrive at the unforgettable Lagoon of
Llanganuco at 3.850 m.a.s.l.surrounded by beautiful quenual
woods. Afterwards we will return to the City of Yungay and
then on to the City of Caraz, where we will be able to taste
the exquisite "Manjar blanco" Milk Sweet and visit the
tourist Recreation places, where one is offered typical
meals of the region. Return to the Hotel. Free time for
meals
Day 8: Huaraz – Chavin de Huantar – Trujillo. (B)
After breakfast, we will make the excursion to the Temple of
Chavin de Huantar at 3500 m.a.s.l., being this one of the
oldest civilizations of America, In this place we will be
able to appreciate the impressive Lanzon Monolithic, the
Gallery of the Labyrinths, the Choquechinchay Stone, the
Stone Heads, the Ceremonial Plazas, the Gate of the Falcons
and the Queracocha. During the route we will visit mining
Towns, the Lagoon of Queracocha. Also, the Tunnel of Cahuish,
that crosses the Cordillera Blanca - White Mountain Range,
unites the Callejón de Huaylas Valley with the Callejón de
Conchucos Valley. Return to Huaraz after transfer to bus
station and take bus to Trujillo night in the bus.
Day 9: Trujillo – City Tour. (B)
Arrival at Trujillo early in the morning, upon arrival a
host will meet and assist you in transferring to the hotel
and help you in registering. In the afternoon visit the city
of Trujillo, known as "the City of the Eternal Spring",
where you will visit the Main Square, the Cathedral and the
beautiful residential and commercial areas which contain
grandiose colonial houses and well preserved porches,
balconies and churches such as the Colonial Mansions of
"Casa Iturregui" and "Casa Bracamonte". Transfer to the
National University of Trujillo Museum that contains
cultural expressions of Peru´s diverse Pre-hispanic epochs
such as: ceramics, weavings, metal, etc. Return to the
Hotel.
Free time for meals.
Day 10: Trujillo – Chan Chan – Pyramid Sun and Mont. (B)
Breakfast at your hotel. Visit to Chan Chan, the former
capital of Chimu Empire. This Empire reached its apogee in
the 15th century, not long before falling to the Incas. The
planning of this huge city, the largest in pre-Columbian
America, reflects a strict political and social strategy,
marked by the city's division into nine 'citadels' or 'palaces'
forming autonomous units. This pre-Columbian adobe city is
famous for its archaeological site in South America!. From
Chan Chan you will visit the seashore village of Huanchaco,
known for its totora seahorses - a typical small reed boat
used for fishing. Then visit one of the most important
centers of the ancient Moche. This pre-Inca civilization, a
warrior culture, once dominated the valleys of the northern
coast of Peru. Experience the amazing adobe engineering of
the Temple of the Sun (sol), the tallest pyramid in the
Americas at a height of 48 meters, which is estimated to
have involved over 200,000 workers in its construction and
over 140 million adobe bricks. Steps away are the temple of
the Moon (Luna), the Moche political center where recently
uncovered friezes of mystical images are believed to belong
to a divinity of sacrifices. Return to the Hotel.

Day 11: Trujillo – Chiclayo Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum
(B)
Early in the morning, after breakfast, transfer to Trujillo
bus station to take the bus to Chiclayo (2 hours 30 minutes
approx.). Upon arrival, transfer to your selected hotel. In
the afternoon, visit to the Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum,
where we can appreciate a Lord of Sipan Tomb replica,
additionally we will see several ceramic pieces. Nowadays,
this museum is one of the best and modern in South America.
Free time for meals,
Day 12: Chiclayo – Tucume and Lord of Sipan. (B)
After breakfast, drive 40 minutes from Chiclayo to visit the
archaeological complex of Tucume or Valley of the Pyramids,
an important archaeological complex of the Lambayeque
Culture (BC 1,000 / 1,350 AD), consisting of pyramids from
which the extensive pre-Columbian urban site can be surveyed.
After a typical Northern dishes lunch, begin excursion to
the impressive Necropolis of Huaca Rajada, a Mochica funeral
centre where a great number of tombs have been discovered
and where the tombs of the Old Lord of Sipan (3rd Century)
and the Lord of Sipan (5th Century), famous for its objects
in gold and semi-precious stones, were unearthed in the
decade of the 1980's by Peruvian archaeologists led by Dr.
Walter Alva. Transfer to your selected hotel. Free time for
meals
Day 13: Flight to Lima or Bus Station. (B)
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima. Or transfer
to bus station and continue with your next destination.
