CanyoColca Canyon (Cabanaconde) to Volcanoes Valley (Andagua) crossing the Andes
  ( 5 day 4 nights)

Summary: This trek is a dream for all adventurers full of physical effort and looking for a beautiful scenery. Especially when we are crossing the mountain range towards the Valley of the Volcanoes you will be overwhelmed by the unique mountain ranges. We lead you to the most interesting attractions in the Arequipa region: a part of Colca Canyon and the Andes range.
Intineray Day by Day:(B)= breakfast / (L)= lunch / (D)= dinner

1st Day: Arequipa - Chivay (Colca Canyon)
At around 8am we pick you up at your hotel in Arequipa and we head for Colca Valley.
After a two hours trip we arrive at “Pampas Cañahuas,” where we are able to see “vicuñas,” which are non-domesticated animals belonging to the camel family and living freely in Aguada Blanca y Salinas National Reserve.
In the afternoon we can relax in the thermal baths in ‘La Calera’. We’ll spend the night at the Colca Inn or in a similar hotel. Chivay is located at 3600 meters / 11811f. The car ride will take approximately 5 hours.

2nd Day: Arequipa - Choco. (B)(L)(D)
After having an early breakfast in your hotel in Chivay we drive two hours to the Cross of the Condor (3,800m/12467f), where we can observe the amazing flights of the giant birds. Afterwards we take the trailhead, descending 30 minutes to Llanca Village (3090m/10138f). From there we start the trek to the deepest part of the Canyon, close to the Colca river (2000m/6561f). We will reach the town of Choco (2473m/8113f) after a five hours hike. Here we will also find our campsite for that night.

3rd Day: Choco - Miña. (B) (L) (D)
This third day we will visit the village of Choco (a typical community in Peru). After merging into the local life of the Andean people we continue our way to the annex of Miña (3550m/11647f). Here we will spend the night on a suitable campsite.

4th Day: Miña - Chila. (B) (L) (D)
Early in the morning we begin the ascent up (appr. 5 hours) to the spurs of the Chila mountain range, coming next to El Paso (4600m/15092f) where we make our camp.

5th Day: Paso-Chachas-Andagua-Arequipa. (B) (L)
In the morning we rise for three hours to the highest point of the trekking (5300m/17389f), in certain times of the year the mountains Casiri and Cerani are covered with snow. Then we will go down to the Chachas village (3050m/10006f), in the Valley of the Volcanoes, where we’ll cross a series of dark lava formations which still have their original form, as yet unchanged by erosion. We’ll see the cones of many small volcanoes with craters and also observe the agriculture of this beautiful valley. We spend the night in a basic accommodation in the Andagua village (optional: We start the 11-hour bus ride to Arequipa).
