|Summary: The Cordillera Blanca, with the its
tropical mountains, highest of the world, represents an
interesting destiny for the mountain climbers worldwide. It
offers but of 200 summits of between 5,000 and 6,000 meters,
with numerous and interesting layouts of all the
difficulties and magnificos landscapes.

Day 01: Huaraz – Quilcayhuanca Valley – Base Camp
(4100m/13448ft). (L) (D)
After the breakfast in the Hotel we will take a private bus
to Pitec; we will leave from Huaraz to the east side,
arriving to the Quilcayhuanca entrance at 10:00hours
approximately, from here we will start hiking to Base Camp
for about 3 hours half approximately, at 12:00m we will have
a lunch, after that we will continue hiking up to Base Camp
of Maparaju. Overnight camping at (4100m/13448ft).
Day 02: Base Camp – climb up Maparaju summit
(5326m/17469ft) – Base Camp. (B) (L) (D)
After the breakfast in the morning we will start climb at 3
am. After to climb 3 hours approximately. We will get the
glacier where we put on our mountain equipments to start ice
climbing. After two hours we will get the summit
(5326m/17469ft) around at 8 am approximately. After to enjoy
the splendid views of mountains we will go down to Base
Camp. Overnight camping at (4100m/13448ft).
Day 03: Base Camp – hike out Quilcayhuanca valley –
return to Huaraz. (B) (L)
After the breakfast in the morning we will start to hike
down along the Quilcayhuanca valley and the half way we will
have lunch enjoying the nice places, then we will continue
hiking down to entrance where our bus will be waiting for us
to transfer to Huaraz, arriving to Huaraz around 16:00hours.
THE CLIMBING COST INCLUDES:
•Transfer Lima - Huaraz - Lima.
•Qualified and experienced local guide/s UIAGM. (English and
•Additional guides and porters where necessary
•Climbing permits - Huascaran National Park.
•Porters, cook, horse man and pack animals
•06 or 07 days climb to alpamayo mountain
•All food during climbing days.
•Cook and assistants.
•Group Equipment: ropes, tents, stoves etc and all supplies
necessary to make a safe and strong bid for the summit
•Group First aid kit.

THE CLIMBING DOES NOT INCLUDED:
•Meals and hotels in Lima and Huaraz.
•Excess equipment over the 20kg per person allowance.
•Personal clothing and gear to include sleeping bag and

laundry, room service and so forth
•Extras at hotel (i.e. telephone, laundry, internet…).
•Departure taxes at the airport. (International departure
tax is currently $30.25),

WE RECOMMEND TO BRING:
•Rain jacket or poncho (plastic ponchos can be purchased in
Huaraz for a few dollars).
•Strong, comfortable footwear.
•One complete change of clothing (you can afford to carry
more changes of clothing if you hire a personal porters, see
•Sweater and jacket (something warm).
•Water bottle, ideally non disposable canteen (boiled
drinking water will be provided).
•Torch / Flashlight and batteries.
•Hat or cap to protect you from the sun.
•Sun block (sun protection cream).
•Insect repellent, absolutely the most important item for
this hike is bug spray. Anything with a lot of DEET with do
the job, anything less is simply not sufficient. Bug spray
MUST be bought in Huaraz, as it cannot be found even in
•Toiletries, towel and toilet paper.
•Selection of small snacks, chocolate, dried fruit,
biscuits, energy bars etc.
•Camera, plenty of film and spare batteries, cash in soles
•Swimsuit (if you plan on visiting the hot springs at
Hunacarhuaz after the trek)
•Optional: walking Poles /sticks rubber covers necessary
(can be hired from our office for US$30 for the 15 day trek)
•You also need to bring a copy of your passport on the
