Day 1: Arrival Lima
Assistance on your arrival in Lima and transfer to your
selected hotel. Free time to rest and prepare for starting
your trip around this magical country.
Day 2: Lima – City Tour – Museums. (B)
In the morning, city tour of the "City of Kings" including
the Historical Center of Lima, visiting Main Square,
Government Palace, City Hall, the Cathedral (where the tomb
of Francisco Pizarro, conqueror of Peru, is located),
Cathedral’s Museum, Temple of Santo San Francisco, Lima
Colonial Balconies, Torre Tagle Palace, Paseo de Aguas and
Convent de los Descalzos. Then, drive through the
residential district of San Isidro, visiting El Olivar Park;
Miraflores, visiting the Kennedy Park, Love Park and
Larcomar Mall.
Free for lunch. In the afternoon, for an excellent overview
of Peru's past, visit the Anthropology and Archeological
Museum holding the best private collection of pre-Columbian
art in Peru. Here are shown many fine examples of textile
works, one of which has a world-record 398 threads per inch;
the materials and tools that ancient Peruvians used to
produce their work in ceramics and metal; Peruvian pottery,
gold and silver pieces with semiprecious stones from Pre-Inca
and Inca cultures. Return to your selected hotel for
overnight.
Day 3: Lima – Puerto Maldonado – Baltimore Community. (B)

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport to board the
regular flight to Puerto Maldonado. Arrival to Puerto
Maldonado. An hour road trip to the harbor of ´Infierno´.
Here we will enter our boat to Baltimore. After four hours
of traveling on the Tambopata River, full of wildlife, and
after lunching on the boat, we will arrive at one of our
guest houses (´casas hospedaje´). At the moment of arrival
at the guest house, you will be welcomed by the family that
lives here and they will show you your room. After a short
break you can enjoy local stories which will introduce you
to the rainforest ambiance. We will enjoy the beautiful
sunset at the Tambopata riverside. Dinner. At night we will
hike the system of bush paths to observe the numerous small
inhabitants of the Jungle. Because the Jungle is awake at
night!
Day 4: Baltimore Community – Macaws Clack Lick.
Early in the morning (05.00 am) we will visit the place of
the Ramirez Family where parrots gather (colpa de loros y
pericos). We’ll have breakfast in the jungle. Being guided
by Mister Eduardo Ramirez we’ll get to know the forest,
different kind of giant trees, palm trees and medicinal
plants. Then we’ll arrive to a place in the jungle were we
can try our fishing skills. You will have the opportunity to
prepare your own cane and go fishing! Lunch with Family
Ramirez. Relax at a small river called Quebrada El Gato.
We’ll go to the place of the Rafaele brothers to show how
they grow and harvest their products: Fruit trees, farm
products. Visit the viewpoint (Mirador) of Family Trigoso.
Back to our guest house. After diner we will search for
caymans at a night excursion at the TambopataRiver.
Day 5: Baltimore Community – Puerto Maldonado – Cusco.

After breakfast in the local family leaving to Puerto
Maldonado where we will make a city tour (to the Main Square
with sight of the confluence of the river Tambopata on the
river Madre de Dios) and visit shops with local crafts. We
will join you to the airport and help you with everything
necessary for your flight to Cusco. Assistance on arrival in
Cusco and transfer to your selected hotel. Free time to take
a short rest to be acclimatized to the altitude.
In the afternoon, city tour of Cuzco visiting the Main
Square and the Temple of the Sun or Korikancha.
Then, drive out of the city to visit the Inca sites of Kenko,
Tambomachay, Puca Pucara and the impressive fortress of
Sacsayhuaman, built strategically on a hill overlooking
Cusco; famous for its enormous carved stones joined with
astounding precision to form the outer walls. Some of these
stones stand over 9m / 30ft tall and weight over 350 tons.
Day 6: Cusco – Sacred Valley of the Incas. (B) (L)
Excursion to the "Sacred Valley of the Incas", a succession
of picturesque towns, agricultural terraces and
archaeological sites. On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays,
we’ll have the opportunity to bargain with vendors or stroll
at the Pisac's typical Indian market, with a catholic mass
service on Sunday (celebrated in Quechua, the native
language).
Lunch at a local restaurant in the Sacred Valley. In the
afternoon pass through Calca and Urubamba towns to arrive to
the Inca Fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo, which was
built to guard the entry of this part of the valley and
protect it from enemies of the lower jungles; consisting in
a series of superimposed terraces of carved stones accessed
by long staircases.
We will have the opportunity to walk through the quaint
streets of the nearby town, religious and agricultural
centre during the Inca Empire, and get a clear idea of the
military strategy against possible invasions. On our way
back to Cusco we will visit the picturesque Andean village
of Chinchero where the remains of what was the royal
hacienda of Tupac Inca Yupanqui lies. Admire its well
preserved Inca Wall at the Main Square, visit the beautiful
colonial temple built on Inca foundations, with interesting
frescoes on the portico. Back to Cusco in the afternoon.
Overnight.
Day 7: Cusco – Machu Picchu (B) (L)
Early in the morning, transfer to Cusco train station for a
three hours train ride to the famous Inca Citadel of Machu
Picchu, one of the most renowned examples of Inca
architecture, known as "The Lost City of the Incas". Get
down the train in Aguas Calientes station for a 30-minutes
drive climbing a 6km of winding road to reach the marvelous
citadel. Upon arrival, guided tour of the Citadel, visiting
the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun Dial(the
greatest Intiwatana), the Royal Quarters, the Temple of
Three Windows and various burial grounds. Time free to
stroll by the archeological site. Lunch at a restaurant at
Aguas Calientes town. Late afternoon return to Cusco.
Overnight .
Day 8: Cusco – Lima – Home. (B)
After breakfast, transfer assistance on your departure to
Lima after connection your international flight and back
your home or continue with your next destination.
