Mixed Trekking Colca Canyon
  ( 3 day 2 nights)

Summary: The Colca Canyon is located on the southern Peru in the Andes mountain range exist the second deepest canyon in the world, It is more than twice as deep as the Apurimac Canyon (Peru) and the Grand Canyon in the United States, the canyon's walls are not as vertical as those of the Grand Canyon. The Colca River birth in the Andes between Condoroma and Crucero Alto (above 4500-5000m), drops the water down to Pacific Ocean, this river have 4 names as Colca River, Andamayo River, Majes River and finally Camana River. The Colca Canyon register hard rain during December to April and the rest of the year is dry, sunny and cold weather.

Itinerary.

Day 1: Arequipa-Cabanaconde:
This tour begins with a private transport picking up the passengers from their respective hotels. (8 am)We leave the city of Arequipa with a private transport and as soon as we leave the city we can see the three most important volcanoes in Arequipa that are Misti, Chachani and Pichupichu. We will have a few stops on the way from Arequipa to Chivay to observe animals, to see different and special plants and just to enjoy the scenery. We arrive in Chivay(3600 nsnm) where we will have a delicious lunch and them we must go to cabanaconde3300 msnm) our destination. posada del conde lodge Hotel 3 start a cossy place where we can enjoy dinner at the same place.

Day 2: Cabanaconde – Sangalle Oasis - Cabanaconde:
We will get up early in the morning (6am) to have breakfast and then go to the town of Cabanaconde , from where we can go down 1,200m, into the Colca Canyon . From the first glimpse of the canyon we will feel the excitement of going down to see all that nature offers us. Along the way we will be able to see the length of the canyon and natural rock formations. Later we will see Sangalle, the place where we will rest for 4 hours. Sangalle (usually known as the oasis) is a very green place with abundant vegetation, here we will find a natural swimming pool of 24 degrees centigrade. If you choose to, we can go trout fishing and walk around to get to know the surroundings of the place. We will have our lunch here. After this we will go back up to Cabanaconde to spend the night. We will have dinner and rest until the following day.

Day 3: Cabanaconde – Cruz del Sur – Chivay -Arequipa.
We will get up at 6am to have breakfast and then go to the CRUZ DEL CONDOR, the most anticipated moment for many visitors. Here we can see the elegance with which the condor flies with their wings outstretched in the sky, as if watching over their territory, demonstrating at the same time their control over the air.
After an hour we will return to the town of Chivay , stopping to visit the towns of Pinchollo, Maca, Achoma and Yanque on the way. There we can appreciate different Hispanic churches.
Later we will arrive at Chivay, where we will have lunch, before returning to the Ciudad Blanca Arequipa and transfer to your hotel.

This is the unique entrance to the Colca national park even if you don't stop at "Mirador Cruz Del Condor" (take care not many tour operators don't includes this tourist ticket), the entrance is valid to visit all the canyon but not valid for hot springs along the canyon
