Peru Route of the Sun
( 12 days and 11 nights )
With this program You will visit all the main tourist attractions of
the Country like: Nazca Lines, Cusco, Machupicchu, Sacred valley of
the Incas, Titikaka lake cruise, Uros, Taquile and Sun islands |
Intineray Day by Day:

Day 1: Arrival to Lima.
Reception in the Lima airport and transfer to your Hotel (located
in Miraflores) .Depending on the arrival time of your
international flight we will have the possibility of an
optional visit to the gold museum (not included in the rate)
Day 2: Lima - Ica - Nazca Lines - Ica - Lima.
You will be picked up from your hotel at 8,30 AM, transfer
to the airport where you'll take the flight to Ica ( airfare
included ), upon arrival transfer to the Nazca lines
archaeological site. Cut into the stony desert are large
number of lines, not only parallels and geometrical figures,
but also designs such as a dog, an enormous monkey, a bird
with a wing span of over 100 meters, a spider and a tree.
The lines, that represent some sort of vast astronomical pre-Inca
calendar, are best seen from the air, we will take a half
hour flight above the Lines (included). In the afternoon you
will return to Ica where we take a lunch and the Ica city
tour, at the end we will take the flight back to Lima (airfare
included) where we arrive at 5 PM, upon arrival transfer to
your hotel. (Breakfast, Lunch)
Day 3: Lima - Cusco.
After an early breakfast, transfer to the airport where
we'll take the flight to Cusco, upon arrival reception and
transfer to your Hotel. In the afternoon :Cusco City Tour
From 2pm. to 6.30pm .This tour includes the Qoricancha
(temple of the sun) and the Cathedral . The tour drives
along the Circunvalacion Road up to famous fortress of
Sacsahuaman , Q'enqo , Puca Pucara and Tambomachay Including
Spanish and English speaking guide. Include Tourist ticket
valid for the entrance to many museums and ruins as well. (
Breakfast )
Day 4: Cusco - Sacred Valley of the Incas
Breakfast .Hr. 9 am excursion to Sacred Valley of Incas
.Services included: Bus service to the market of Pisaq ,
Calca , Urubamba , Ruins of Ollantaytambo , and the
Chinchero's market. English and Spanish speaking guide.
Lunch in a typical restaurant in Urubamba. Return to Cusco
at 6,30 PM Lodging at your Hotel (Breakfast, Lunch)
Day 5: Cusco - Machupicchu.
Breakfast.Hr.5,30 am departure to Machupicchu . Services
included : Transfer from hotel to railway station, round
trip Train ticket first class (Autovagon or Inca class)
Cusco/Agua Calientes/Cusco, bus service to ruins and back ,
Lunch at a restaurant in Aguas calientes, complete Ruin's
tour with an English and Spanish speaking guide. Overnigth
at your hotel ( Breakfast, Lunch)
Day 6: Hot Spring Village - Cusco.
Day at leisure in Aguas Calientes to continue visiting the
ruins by your own. In the afternoon we'll take the autovagon
train, the departure is around 3pm to arrive back in Cusco
around 7pm ,transfer from the train station to your hotel,
overnight at your Hotel
Day 7: Cusco - Puno.
Breakfast. Transfer to the train or bus station. Ten hour
train or bus ride to Puno , across the scenic high Andes
landscapes only dotted by small villages and herds of the
llamas and vicuñas. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel
Day 8: Puno - Lake Titicaca (Uros and Taquile Island)
You will be picked up from your hotel 7,30 AM, after 2 and
half hours motorboat you will arrive at the Uros island.
Fishermen and hunters inhabit the floating islands of the
Uros. The residents of the Uros use the cattail, a type of
rush, which grows in the lake, to create the conditions that
ensure the islands stay afloat. The dense roots that the
plants develop support the island.The roofs are waterproof
and the houses are extremely humid because of the
surrounding water. At present they speak Quechua and Aymara.
Then we will visit the Taquile island , including lunch in
the co-operative restaurant, there is also a co-operative
shop on the plaza that sells exceptional woollen goods which
are not cheap but of very fine quality. Taquile Island is
famous for its craft production, particularly for its
beautiful textiles. The island is narrow only about 1 KM
wide , but 6 to 7 KM long, on Taquile there are numerous pre-Inca
and Inca ruins and Inca terracing . You will return in Puno
in the afternoon, overnight at your hotel (Breakfast,Lunch)
Day 9: Puno - Aymara Route - Copacabana - Sun Island.
You will picked up from your hotel at 6,30 am. You will go
overland across the border through the colonial town of
Juli, and the village of Yunguyo: July and Pomata were very
important cultural centres in the 17th century and their
magnificent churches give testimony to that old
splendour.You will arrive into Copacabana after about 3
hours .Copacana is the most important religious sanctuary of
Bolivia, thousands of pilgrims visit every year the virgin
of Copacabana also known as Native Madonna , you will visit
the main square and the impressive Cathedral (1/2 hour tour).You
will arrive into the Sun Island after about 1 hour of a
spectacular catamaran cruise , this island has been
identified as the birthplace of several revered entities ,
including the sun itself. A source of magnetic energy , the
vertex of the earth and the cradle of the Inca Empire , the
Inca couple Manco Kapac and Mama Ocllo appeared here and
founded the Sun Empire. During a 1 hour and half Sun Island
Tour (South side) you will visit :
-The Inca garden , the island micro climate provides the
ideal location for this garden that during Inca times was
full of Andean flowers , water and trees.
-The Sun Island Kallawaya Ancient Cerimony,
witchcrafts,natural medicine, art, magic, and millenary
traditions are part of the mystic world of the Kallawayas
heritage.The purpose of this mystic ceremony is to purify
the souls of the Chinkana holy temple visitors , this
Ceremony take place in a Inca altar at the top of the hill
facing the temple and overlooking the lake.
Dinner and Sun Island folkloric demonstration on board.
Catamaran overnight (Lunch, Dinner)
Day 10: Sun Island - Moon Island - Copacabana - Puno.
After 1 hour of catamaran cruise including lunch on board
You will return back to Copacabana and then to Puno , we
will arrive in Puno at 5,30 PM , overnight in your hotel.
Day 11: Puno - Lima.
Morning at leisure in Puno. In the afternoon transfer to the
airport to take the flight to Lima, upon arrival reception
and transfer to your Hotel , overnight
Day 12: Lima - Home.
( Breakfast )Transfer to the airport and end of the services
