Variety is the spice of life, and South America travel offers more variety of culture, wildlife, adventure and natural beauty than any other continent. This liveliness and diversity are evident as soon as you arrive. In South America friendly people welcome you into their lives, happily sharing their culture, their food and even their homes. Once you start to explore this part of the world you quickly realize it holds many of the most intriguing and beautiful destinations on earth. On a South America tour one arrives with a sense of wonder, and returns home with a newfound respect for the great diversity of this part of the world.
Traveling through South America is to visit an extremely diverse territory that brings together the paradise of the Atlantic and Pacific beaches and the magnificent Andes Mountain range. Along the way, in addition to fantastic landscapes, you also encounter a rich and diverse culture especially seen in the great capitals and historical cities and towns ensconced throughout the continent.
The Continent is blessed with some of the largest tropical jungle and rain forests in the world, the longest mountain range as well as a fertile soil ideal for abundant agricultural production as well as pasture lands. Beyond this, there are rich mineral deposits, such as petroleum, silver, gold, copper, and iron, without even considering the incredible tourist potential.
The South-American continent is a subcontinent located on the meridian part of the Americas. Its extension is 17,819,100 square kilometers, representing 12% of the world’s land area and 6 percent of the world’s population, reaching from Central America in the north from Isthmus of Panama, with the southernmost tip extending almost to Antarctica. South America possesses the most integrated linguistics of the all the continents: Most of the population speaks Portuguese or Spanish. It is composed of twelve independent countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Surname, Uruguay, and Venezuela) in addition to the Falkland Islands, a British dependency, and French Guyana which is an overseas department of France. This is certainly one of the most privileged continents on the planet.
The richness of the continent includes a coastline along the largest ocean in the world, the Pacific; lakes, such as the Titicaca; waterfalls; deserts, like the Atacama; the largest continental glacier in the world, the Perito Moreno; the rich archeological sites situated in Peru and Bolivia; fascinating regions like the Patagonia; and the great canyons of Colca in Peru. These are just a few of the places that you will be able to discover and fall in love with on this amazing continent.
