Trekking Colca Canyon
  ( 2 day 1 nights)

Summary: The trek of two days in the Colca canyon is for hikers with some level of trek who don't have time and they want to reach the bottom of the canyon; the two days the hikers have early wake ups.The first day trek is around 7 hours with trails down hill, flat and up hill, second day trek 3 hours up hill.

Itinerary.

Day 1: Arequipa – Cabanaconde.
03:00/03.30 a.m. Departure to Cabanaconde ( Colca Canyon )6 hrs driving.
a.m. Arrival to Cabanaconde, breakfast and we start the trekking down hill from 3300mt to reach the bottom ( 3 and a half hours aproximatly) at the altitude of 2100 mt.
a.m. Lunch an resting in San Juan de Chuccho village ( place with plantly of frut tres)
. p.m. Continues to Cosñirhua and Malata towns (very pinturesque places with a lot of vegetation, a museum, its very old spanish church stile, and very fliendly local people). Then time to start the descending hike this time to the deepest part of our trek to reach "Sangalle Village " at the altitude of 1900 mt aprox., Place to enjoy the swimming pool of temperatured water of 20ºC.
p.m. Dinner. and and overnight in bungalows made of bamboo ( BASIC ACCOMODATION). .

Day 2: Cabanaconde – Arequipa.
03:00 a.m. Trek up hill to Cabanaconde Town under the torch lights ( 3 hours aproximatly).
a.m. Arrival and breakfast in Cabanaconde. Transport to The most visited point in the Colca Valley "The Cruz Del Condor", time to see the condors soaring around. After we continue back to Chivay on the way we gonna have a great view of pre-Inca terraces, some arqueological places and colonial tows among others views.
a.m. Arrival to Chivay toward the hot springs "la Calera", 38°C. Temperature.
p.m. Typical lunch of the region.
p.m. Transport back to Arequipa . On the way we descend from 4830 a.s.l. to 2 325 a.s.l. and passing through a Nacional Reserve and Pampa Cañahuas habit of the four kind of south American camelides.(llama. Alpaca, vicuña and guanaco)
p.m. Arrival to Arequipa .

■Camping gear as 4 season tents and mattresses (Sleeping bag is not included)
■Shared bath and cold shower facilities
■Tourist ticket of 70 soles or $35 US Dollars per person (Obligatory). This is the unique entrance to the Colca national park even if you don't stop at "Mirador Cruz Del Condor" (take care not many tour operators don't includes this tourist ticket), the entrance is valid to visit all the canyon but not valid for hot springs along the canyon

■Food and lodging for our camp staff
■First aid kit for all participants and our camp staff

Small backpack, Hiking boots
Rain jacket or poncho (December to March)
Hat or cap to protect you from the sun
Sun block (sun protection cream), Sunglasses
Selection of small snacks, chocolate, dried fruit, biscuits etc,
Camera, plenty of film and spare batteries
Swimsuit (for the hot springs at Yura)
Extra money (soles)
